The Nature Conservancy of Hawai`i is the Hawai`i state chapter
of an international organziation based in Arlington, VA. Established in
1980, The Nature Conservancy of Hawai`i has worked with its federal, state,
and private partners to protect more than 200,000 acres of Hawaii's natural
areas that shelter native species, many of which are found nowhere else in
A private, non-profit organization, The Nature Conservancy of Hawai`i has 8,000 members and is
supported primarily by foundation grants, corporate donations, and gifts from individuals.
